advice – Balashiha http://balashiha.su Sat, 22 Sep 2012 20:00:30 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.1.18 Words of Wisdom for Snorkelers http://balashiha.su/?p=10957 http://balashiha.su/?p=10957#respond Sat, 18 Feb 2012 12:03:18 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=10957 Words of Wisdom for Snorkelers

Want to experience heavenly beauty under water? En route to snorkeling in the Caribbean and you will discover how exciting the water world is. The beauty of aquatic life is explored using a tool called snorkel, having a mask attached to it. Snorkeling thus offers you an amazing opportunity to explore underwater life. However, there are a few essential things that one must exercise during the activity.

Snorkeling gives you an opportunity to relax. So make sure you make most of it without indulging yourself in too much analysis. Check out some of the tips to make your snorkeling even more enjoyable. These tips have been suggested considering that you already have well-fitting equipment.

  1. Ensure that the mask fits your face perfectly but allows you breathing through the nose. Make sure that no air leaks in, as this will also allow water to seep in. Also, it’s best to shave off your moustache or apply generous amount of Vaseline or sunscreen to act as a gasket. Do not tighten the strap too much as this might also cause the water to leak in after breaking the seal. The snorkel should be placed in front of the ear.
  2. Fins should be chosen with discretion. It is better to opt for snug ones than those that are too tight. Big fins will slip in easily when the feet are wet.
  3. You must have some defogging products for a clear view under water. Gel products, dog drool, plant extracts growing by the shore, or even a baby shampoo (with salt water) work well to get rid off the fog.
  4. Breathing practice through the snorkel with your head out of water is highly vital prior to experiencing the real sport. Suck the mask into your face and breathe through the mouthpiece throughout the length of the mouth. It’s also advisable to practice calm floating in face down and horizontal position.
  5. In case you flood your mask by accident, raise your head by pulling the lower edge away from the mouth to drain out the water.
  6. Use your fins judiciously, keeping your knees and ankles relaxed. Avoid using bicycle type kicks and treat your fin as though they were the soft flowing tail of a mermaid!
  7. Last, but the most vital of all,be relaxed during the entire activity. If you panic, your movements might create an alarm in the aquatic environment. On the contrary, while you stay calm, the aquatic animals too remain calm and resume their normal activity.

Some of the best locations for snorkeling are found in the various beaches of the Caribbean. Out of them, Roatan surpasses all others in terms of beauty and space. There has been a gradual rise in the number of people booking for Roatan tours. A trip to this beautiful island will also allow you to experience the fun the thrill of Roatan snorkeling. So get into the groove to be a part of the amazing sport- just keep a good ear to the afore-mentioned advice.

Travel Vaccination Advice For Egypt http://balashiha.su/?p=9848 http://balashiha.su/?p=9848#respond Wed, 05 Oct 2011 05:29:04 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=9848 Travel Vaccination Advice For Egypt

The World Health. Organization (W.H.O.) recommends that all travellers who visit any area of Egypt, should be vaccinated against.

1 DIPHTHERIA.

2 TETANUS.

3 MEASLES.

4 MUMPS.

5 RUBELLA.

6 POLIO.

7 HEPATITIS B.

The consequences of these diseases can be life threatening, and outbreaks do occur in the Middle East area.

So you have decided to visit Egypt this year. And because you do not want you or your family to fall ill on holiday. You have decided to get your vaccinations. But you do not know where to start. You want to know
WHY, WHERE, WHEN , HOW, and HOW MUCH will it all cost.

WHY. Because if you do not have a vaccination, you or one of your family could fall ill or even die.

WHERE. There are two different places you can get your jabs. One is a private medical centre that specialise in travel vaccinations. these specialist centres are very expensive. and unless you need your vaccination urgently or immediately, they should be avoided. because there are less expensive alternatives. Here is a price list of some of the vaccinations. from my nearest local private travel clinic.

Cholera (Dukoral, price for full course) ?59
Combined Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio ?31.50
Combined Hepatitis A + B ?65
Combined Hepatitis A + Typhoid ?84
Hepatitis A ?48.50
Hepatitis B ?40
Japanese Encephalitis ?47
Combined Junior Hepatitis A + B ?47
Junior Hepatitis B ?25.75
Meningitis ACWY ?55
Polio (inactivated) ?25
Rabies IM Route ?47
Tick Encephalitis ?63
Tick Encephalitis (Junior) ?63
Typhoid ?27.50
Yellow Fever ?53.50

Or you can book an appointment with your local G.P. Often he will delegate this task to a nurse.

Inform the doctor about the country that you wish to visit. The doctor then looks up what jabs you need, and then writes you out a prescription for the vaccinations you need.
Sometimes you will have to pick the medicine up yourself from the chemist, but some doctors will order them for you,and have them ready for you, when you arrive at the surgery. Then you just roll up your sleeve. Needle in. Hey presto, your done.
Afterwards my nurse gave me a small pocket booklet (which they recommend you keep with your passport) , which records what jabs you have had, the date you received them, and when you need your next jab or booster.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST, This all depends on your doctor. A friend of mine had all his travel jabs done for free.

I just had to pay the prescription charges. One charge for each vaccination, Although some vaccinations are combined.

WHEN. Give yourself plenty of time, four to six weeks at least, before your departure date. Do not leave it to the last minute to phone your doctor for an appointment. As your holiday jabs will be classed as none urgent.

Another fact to remember is that some smaller chemists may not stock every vaccination. And you will need to wait for all the prescriptions to arrive.

Once your chemist receives all of your vaccination shots. Collect them from the chemist. And dont forget to ask if they need to be stored in a fridge until your appointment. Then book your appointment.

Places to See and Advice when Visiting Brazil http://balashiha.su/?p=6903 http://balashiha.su/?p=6903#respond Mon, 26 Sep 2011 06:08:12 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6903 Places to See and Advice when Visiting Brazil

There are a number of places that you can go and visit in Brazil, South America. There is only one place that is truly unforgettable Grande Sert?o Veredas Park is that place. Its landscapes are covered with enormous amounts of bio and ecological diversity. Along with some of the local towns you can experience some of the historic buildings and cobblestone streets.

Along with visiting these places I do have a couple of suggestions for you.

* One of the premier places to visit is the The Amazonia National Park which is also known to the locals as ‘The Green Inferno’  It is named this because of the great expanse of natural ecological and biological diversity that covers a great majority of the Brazilian landscape.

* The Pantanal, is another location in the same area that is great for watching the local wildlife emerge from there hiding places. It is amazing to see, hear and experience wildlife in their natural habitat.

As you travel in brazil another place that is a must sea is the Atlantic coast and its beaches but be arned in the summer time the water off the coast can be notoriously rough and cold due to the currents and under-tones.

In most of the surrounding country you are looking at around 30 dollars for accommodations, about 20 for food, ect… so if you do plan to stay for awhile in Brazil a month or so it may be best to keep around 1500 on a credit card or bank account which you can remove via ATM as spending money. But if you go off the beaten track a little bit and stay away from the touristy spots you can expect to pay much less for the same services.

Only carry as much as you are comfortable carrying with you in terms of money and valuables. You will need cash and not simply Credit cards, Travelers checques, ect… you can save quite a bit by using it. But Brazil in areas is still a small country and not everyone will take credit cards outside the cities. So make sure you do plan accordingly. Traveler’s cheques can be a hassle because there is only a couple of banks (Banco de Brazil, etc) in Brazil where you can exchange them commission free.

But these places and with a little planning you can have a experience of a lifetime in Brazil. If you would like more information regarding brazil. Places to see, visit, eat, or even move as an expat. Or just the local news please visit and book mark my website on brazil at  www.brazilgringo.com

An Uncommon Travel Tip Too Can Prove To Be Very Useful Under Uncommon Circumstances http://balashiha.su/?p=873 http://balashiha.su/?p=873#respond Sun, 28 Aug 2011 19:15:47 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=873 An Uncommon Travel Tip Too Can Prove To Be Very Useful Under Uncommon Circumstances

When it comes to receiving advice regarding travel you will find that people will mostly talk about flying and airports as well as hotels and budgets as well as choice destinations. However, there is another side to travel that most people are not aware of and for which a few choice travel tips are available. A travel tip need not necessarily always help you save money but it can still prove to be invaluable for people that travel – whether they travel often or casually.

Removing Gum

A simple travel tip is the one related to gum. Not many people are aware that in order to remove gum from your hair or from your garments or from your shoes, the best solution is to use ice cubes that will help in hardening the gum sufficiently to make it easy to break it off. You should also welcome another useful though less well known travel tip which pertains to removing collar stains.

The best way to remove collar stains is to pour some hair shampoo on the stain and to then spread the shampoo to all parts of the collar. Shampoos are effective in removing oils from a person’s hair and will also do the same for skin oil that causes collar stains.

Often, a situation arises when you have to wash your clothes but your hotel does not have its own laundry to help you get the clothes clean. A simple travel tip in this regard is to hang your clothes in the bathroom in which all the lights are switched on. By morning, you will find that your clothes will have dried out completely and will look clean as well.

Sometimes room flies might bug you in your hotel room and you also don’t have bug sprays to get rid of the flies. A simple travel tip in this regard shows you the benefit of using hair sprays instead. On the other hand, in order to freshen up your clothes you can also use laundry detergent which can be applied to places where you sweat a lot such as your underarms and the front of your shirt. Then you can rinse off the detergent and dry your clothes and have them looking fresh and clean once more.

For those people who are neophytes about traveling to foreign countries there are several useful international travel tips that will help ensure smoother travel. Some of the travel tips that you will come across are those that are a bit out of the ordinary and ones that people normally do not think about. However, many times an occasion will arise when these very uncommon travel tips will come in very handy and so are well worth learning about.

So you should always have a clear viewpoint as to where you would like to spend your time and money. You should always choose a plan which suits your interest. Plan the Perfect Adventure Vacation on Tripmama http://balashiha.su/?p=6923 http://balashiha.su/?p=6923#respond Thu, 23 Jun 2011 04:57:55 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6923 Plan the Perfect Adventure Vacation on Tripmama.com, the First Air Fare Compare Website

There are so many adventurous places to go and see, however, you haven’t been to one place. You haven’t climbed one rock or experienced white water rafting down one river. And the reason for this is of course, money. You just don’t have the money to take off whenever you want, or you don’t have the money to save. Guess what? An adventure vacation is possible; you just need a few tips to help you out!

Decide early when you’d like to go and which action-packed quest appeals to you. Many guided tours, such as white water rafting, rock climbing or safaris give discounts for early booking. The tourism trade wants to guarantee their spots are filled. Companies discount early booking to measure what the interest of the public is at that particular time to price the majority of their openings.

If the idea of booking early is unappealing or if you are more of the spontaneous type, you will be able to find last minute deals. Search online and you’ll find tours at greatly reduced rates solely to fill their remaining vacancies.

Being a family has its rewards also. Many tours are geared for family adventures with the hopes of you and your family returning annually. Child-friendly tours are safe and fun experiences for everyone.

There are other budget friendly tips to take into consideration. Before booking your vacation, figure out the type of scenery that appeals to you, compare airfare and fly there with your equipment already in hand. It doesn’t cost much for a backpack, small tent, sleeping bag and non-perishable food. Pack the items you can carry in your backpack and trek through the landscape of your choice. There are reasonable tours for this type of activity, but if you surf the net instead, you’ll find maps for trails, spots that are safe, advice from fellow trekkers, all which save you money.

If you love peace and quiet and you love to fish, then a good idea would be to invest in fishing gear. Take an airplane to Canada or another destination of your choice, with your equipment in tow. Fishing licenses are inexpensive and your gear is yours to be used again and again. There are how-to websites, videos and books to instruct you on fly fishing or sitting beside the water and casting a reel.

Have fun and remember, because your vacation sounds expensive, doesn’t mean that it has to be!

Planning a Trip effectively http://balashiha.su/?p=6951 http://balashiha.su/?p=6951#respond Fri, 17 Jun 2011 23:03:46 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6951 Planning a Trip effectively

It is always difficult to plan a holiday very successfully. Anything can happen when people plan their holiday, but a good preparation and well planned trip will ensure a pain free journey. Below are some useful tips if you want to make your holiday a success. It’s better if you can keep these handy tips in mind.

1 – Plan your trip
Plan everything properly. Find out the destination you are going to travel which suits you best. Find out details of the flights, such as number of baggage allowed and the weight you can carry, find out information about connecting flights etc. Always keep your family and friends updated and handover your travel plan to them as well. If you know anybody in the destination you plan to travel inform them early about your arrival including the flight details, date and time.

List down all the items you plan to take with you and make certain that you didn’t miss any.

2 – Medical Insurance
When you are traveling you may fall sick or critically injured during the stay in other destination. At that point getting medical care can be very expensive. Make sure you get the medical insurance before you travel from any local health company or other state organizations.

3 – Travelers Cheques
Travlers cheques are the safest way to protect the money when you travel. Almost most of the merchants, financial institutions around the globe accept traveler’s cheque and also offered in variety of currencies. If you missed your cheque during your holiday, it can be replaced with just a phone call usually within 24 hours.

4 – Medical Tips
It is very important to make required precautious actions regarding health and safety when you travel. Make sure you have your own medical help with your family doctor advice. Prepare a list of all medicines you need to carry and ensure you take those with you. Try to carry enough pills, dosages, and emergency medicines. In most of the countries without proper doctor prescriptions, no one will give you the medicine.

It is also advisable if you do a thorough check up before you travel. You have to make sure your body condition is healthy for traveling. If you are a person restricted in foods then carry fruits and some non perishable food items advised by your doctor.

5 – Common tips
Select hotels and flights based on your budget. Double check everything before you leave. If the destination you plan to travel is totally new for you, try to learn some basic and important language spoken in those countries. Carry a travel guide respective to the destination. Before you get on the flight learn about the culture of the country / destination you are visiting. Try avoiding larger amount of liquid cash, instead of that opt for travelers checks which can be replaced if lost or stolen. Stay alert always.

Cheap International Travel Secrets http://balashiha.su/?p=2111 http://balashiha.su/?p=2111#respond Thu, 02 Jun 2011 13:24:23 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=2111 Cheap International Travel Secrets

What is the real secret to cheap international travel? It is the same as the secret to doing anything for less. Learn to be an opportunist. Opportunistic travelers get to travel more, see more and do more. Of course, you can ignore this advice if you have unlimited funds.

I went to Ecuador because it was cheap. Honestly, aren’t there many interesting places in this world? Why not choose one you can travel to inexpensively? The other places will be there in the future, and you may have an opportunity to go to those places cheaply at some point.

Cheap Countries

Ecuador is my favorite international destination. You can still get a decent meal for two dollars. U.S. dollars, by the way, since that’s conveniently the official currency of Ecuador now. From the beautiful snow-capped Andes Mountains, to the Galapagos Islands, you’ll never run out of places to explore in Ecuador. Travel there is safe and inexpensive.

South America in general is inexpensive, and the most affordable countries are, in my opinion, the most beautiful. These are the countries along the Andes mountains; Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Argentina, thanks to its recent economic troubles, is once again a cheap place for travelers as well.

In Central America, it costs very little to travel and vacation in both Nicaragua and Guatemala. Nicaragua, in particular, has become more stable and safe for travelers in recent years. Costa Rica is a wonderful too, and though it is one of more expensive counties of Central America, that probably still leaves it cheaper than Europe.

In Asia, India is still low-cost, especially if you stay in the numerous hostels and boarding houses. Thailand and Indonesia are also very cheap. With all international destinations, the plane tickets will be your single biggest travel expense. This is especially true with the Asian countries. Being there is cheap, but getting there may not be.

Cheap International Travel Tips

Wherever you go; there are things you can do to keep it cheap. Eat where locals eat, for example, instead of at the tourist restaurants. To keep it really cheap, eat fruit from street markets (wash it well) and packaged snacks from grocery stores.

Visit the free and cheap attractions first. It’s possible you’ll have so much fun that you’ll never get around to doing the expensive things. A higher price means better quality with travel bags, but not with travel experiences.

Busses are cheaper than taxis in any country, but be careful of crowded city busses, where pickpockets hang out. Walking is even cheaper, and it’s a great way to learn about a city. Just ask the locals where the dangerous parts are before you wander too far.

For cheap accommodations find out where local visitors from within the country stay. Negotiating room charges is common in some areas. In Banos, Ecuador, we negotiated our room rate down from $12 to $6 per night, by paying for several nights in advance. Consider hostels, if you don’t mind sharing a room. They’re much more common overseas.

Cheap international travel is often only as cheap as your plane tickets. Use the techniques outlined on our site to save big on tickets, or search the fares to several interesting countries. If one is $500 less than the others, consider going there. $500 can buy a few extra days, or an extra mini-vacation some other time.

Location, Location, Location http://balashiha.su/?p=5890 http://balashiha.su/?p=5890#respond Tue, 10 May 2011 02:40:05 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=5890 Location, Location, Location

The above phrase is, of course, a well known admonition to potential house buyers, reminding them of the overriding criterion to keep in mind when deciding upon their purchase. The same, however, can also be said for visitors to London when deciding upon where to base their stay and it seems that many visitors are taking this advice to heart and choosing to base their stay in two of the most conveniently placed areas of the Capital; Knightsbridge and Bayswater.
Knightsbridge is truly one of the best placed locations in London and by booking yourself a hotel in Knightsbridge you are putting yourself firmly in the vicinity of attractions of both the tourist and retail kind but additionally, hotels in Knightsbridge will offer you some of the most comfortable and top class accommodation available in the Capital.
Stepping out of your Knightsbridge hotel you will find yourself right in the home of shopping and are well advised to leave plenty of time to explore such staple attractions as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the famous Brompton Arcade where some of London’s most wealthy and influential people choose to shop. For attractions of a more scenic nature, a hotel in Knightsbridge will place you a stones throw from Hyde Park, Green Park, Buckingham Palace and also the famous museums of South Kensington, such as the Natural history, Victoria & Albert and Science Museums. Just as importantly, because so many top class attractions are concentrated within such a conveniently proximate area, it is an easy task to repair to the welcoming comfort of your hotel at the end of a busy day of exploration.
For a slightly different perspective of London, Bayswater is the location of choice for a good many visitors. By choosing to book a hotel in Bayswater , visitors are still conveniently close to such not to be missed attractions as Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and Little Venice but also conveniently close to the social epicentre of the West End of London: Notting Hill and its environs. During the day you can wander the pleasant streets, visit some of the many galleries and be a part of the caf? culture of the area, whilst at night, you can taste the exotic pleasures of the area’s nightlife, all the while, being conveniently close to your Bayswater hotel, to which you can retire once you have partaken of your fill of the night time scene.
Looking at the manifold attractions on offer, it is not difficult to see just why so many visitors choose to stay in Knightsbridge and Bayswater; two neighbouring areas replete with attractions but each with its own different focus. But should you wish to sample the attractions of either; be sure to book into one of the many splendid hotels in Knightsbridge or hotels in Bayswater to make the very most of your London Sojourn.
