For an unforgettable fly drive American holiday, explore the scenic roads and rustic beauty of New England. It’s the closest place in the states that you can get to from the UK, making it an excellent choice for those with limited time or simply an “I can’t wait!” attitude.

From Boston, driving north and west into New Hampshire and Vermont is a road tripper’s delight. Plan your trip during the mid autumn months when fall foliage is at its peak to capture New England at its finest. Crisp country air and tumbling fall sunlight play among the forests, along the rivers and through the mountain peaks and valleys to create picturesque scenes that can only be described as breathtaking. The annual apple harvest around the area cues festivals throughout the quaint rural towns, inviting locals and tourists alike to literally enjoy the fruits of local labour. Outlet shopping in New Hampshire and mountain hikes in both states make for excellent day activities, and scenic pull-offs are plentiful throught the drive and perfect for those looking just to stretch their legs and take in the sights.

For those preferring a summer escape, it is an easy ride from New York City up the pebbly coast of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine, with miles of beaches and countless seaside eateries to enjoy the pride of the region; fresh, local seafood. Try oysters in Rhode Island, but be sure to save some appetite for lobster in Maine; it’s the sea delicacy that made this northern state famous. Driving south to north between these two states, don’t forget to stop along the way. Newport and Cape Cod are two of the greatest beach towns on the whole of the east coast of the USA, boasting sandy beaches, rock jettees and historic lighthouses for all to enjoy. A short ferry ride will take you to Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, where you can spend the day seeing how the other half lives. Summer cottages belonging to posh New Englanders from the mainland dot the island and tempt the imagination.

Whichever area you would like to travel to whether it be a Fly Drive California holiday or Fly Drive Las Vegas holiday, it is sure to be a cultivating experience that oozes personality and depth. What would it be like to summer here? Pure Bliss.

The Normandy region in France is an especially beautiful location that is rich in natural beauty and splendor. It is a historically significant area and has lots of beautiful buildings and gardens that you can visit. This naturally beautiful area is also rich in culture and heritage hence you will be able to catch a glimpse of the rich history that makes France so very attractive.

You can start by visiting the Mont Saint Michel. This is located on the Brittany/Normandy border. The structure of the abbey on Mont Saint Michel has gone on to become iconic in northern France. The entire structure rises out of a flat sandy island that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. It is considered to be one of the western world wonders and it is famous all over the world.

You can then visit the Normandy American Cemetery Memorial, which was built to honor the memories of the American soldiers who died in WWII. It is located on a cliff in Colleville sur-Mer and overlooks the Omaha Beach. This beach was one of the main landing beaches during the Normandy Invasion.

World famous and immortal painter Monet is still remembered for the beautiful landscape paintings that he has given us. He was also a connoisseur of landscapes in the real world and surrounded himself with one of the most beautiful gardens in France. This garden in located in Giverny and is just an hour’s train ride away from Paris. You will see first hand the water lilies that inspired the painter. You can roam around the beautiful garden that inspired Monet over and over again.

The four largest urban areas in Normandy are Rouen, Caen, Le Havre and Cherbourg. It is simple to arrange a car hire service in any of these cities as well as many other locations throughout Normandy. A rental car is a great asset when touring Normandy. Make sure to choose the right type of car for your trip. Consider all passenger and luggage requirements.

If you want to experience the art and culture of Normandy, you have to visit Rouen. At the heart of the city’s attractions is the Gothic cathedral of Rouen. This cathedral was one of the Monet’s favorite subjects. Even though it was bombed during WWII, it now stands beautifully restored.

If you are a person whose heart is after gastronomical delights, you will enjoy Dieppe. It is an old and busy port that is famous for its Herring festival and seafood. You will love the fresh fish and scallops that are brought in everyday. There are many more places to visit like the old port at Honfleur, Trouville and the Cider route.

Normandy is an excellent place to go for a holiday at any time of the year. This splendid region of France never fails to impress.

An Uncommon Travel Tip Too Can Prove To Be Very Useful Under Uncommon Circumstances http://balashiha.su/?p=873 http://balashiha.su/?p=873#respond Sun, 28 Aug 2011 19:15:47 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=873 An Uncommon Travel Tip Too Can Prove To Be Very Useful Under Uncommon Circumstances

When it comes to receiving advice regarding travel you will find that people will mostly talk about flying and airports as well as hotels and budgets as well as choice destinations. However, there is another side to travel that most people are not aware of and for which a few choice travel tips are available. A travel tip need not necessarily always help you save money but it can still prove to be invaluable for people that travel – whether they travel often or casually.

Removing Gum

A simple travel tip is the one related to gum. Not many people are aware that in order to remove gum from your hair or from your garments or from your shoes, the best solution is to use ice cubes that will help in hardening the gum sufficiently to make it easy to break it off. You should also welcome another useful though less well known travel tip which pertains to removing collar stains.

The best way to remove collar stains is to pour some hair shampoo on the stain and to then spread the shampoo to all parts of the collar. Shampoos are effective in removing oils from a person’s hair and will also do the same for skin oil that causes collar stains.

Often, a situation arises when you have to wash your clothes but your hotel does not have its own laundry to help you get the clothes clean. A simple travel tip in this regard is to hang your clothes in the bathroom in which all the lights are switched on. By morning, you will find that your clothes will have dried out completely and will look clean as well.

Sometimes room flies might bug you in your hotel room and you also don’t have bug sprays to get rid of the flies. A simple travel tip in this regard shows you the benefit of using hair sprays instead. On the other hand, in order to freshen up your clothes you can also use laundry detergent which can be applied to places where you sweat a lot such as your underarms and the front of your shirt. Then you can rinse off the detergent and dry your clothes and have them looking fresh and clean once more.

For those people who are neophytes about traveling to foreign countries there are several useful international travel tips that will help ensure smoother travel. Some of the travel tips that you will come across are those that are a bit out of the ordinary and ones that people normally do not think about. However, many times an occasion will arise when these very uncommon travel tips will come in very handy and so are well worth learning about.

Top Tips To Topping Up That Tan http://balashiha.su/?p=9301 http://balashiha.su/?p=9301#respond Tue, 23 Aug 2011 09:45:29 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=9301 Top Tips To Topping Up That Tan!

First of all, don’t even contemplate leaving this bleak weathered, grey skied country without giving that tan a head start!

Around two weeks before you travel, get yourself to the corner shop and book some sunbed sessions, not enough to give you that shiny, papery leather look but enough to create a base layer from which you can build up a fantastic glowing tan.

Nip to the shops and buy enough sun tan lotion to not only last you for your holiday duration, but a bit extra too! You’ll need a small bottle of factor 35, an average sized bottle of 15, a larger sized 8 and a nice low-factor dry oil, perhaps a 2, and if you’re going for that dark brown, coffee look, buy one with keratin!

Don’t forget when packing your case, to individually wrap each bottle of sun tan lotion in a plastic carrier bag to not only avoid spillage, but to protect your clothes and your skin in the long run!

When you finally arrive, you’ll love every minute of it, but where to sunbathe for that maximum tan?! My personal favourite is the beach, not just for the stunning scenery and cool, refreshing sea, but because of that beautiful, brisk breeze. Not only will that lovely breeze cool you down but it also gives a stunningly seamless tan.

One faux pas which many of us make is forgetting to apply aftersun lotion every evening throughout the holiday. Without this added moisture, your skin can become dry and cracked and helps the peeling process start a lot quicker!

Start with your factor 15 lotion and see how you go, if you have any sore or blistering areas, pop a bit of factor 30 on to ensure it doesn’t worsen. As your holiday progresses, reduce the strength of your sun tan lotion, go down to 8 and then eventually you may feel brave enough to go for that factor 4 keratin oil!

Another helpful tip is to make sure you keep applying that sun tan lotion on a regular basis, every half an hour or so, apply a little here and there to ensure a burnt-free complexion. Although you feel fine and like your skin is not burning at all, it can be smouldering without you realising until later that evening when unfortunately, it’s too late.

So whether you’re looking at booking cheap holidays in the Costa Dorada, a scorching week in Santorini or all expenses paid trips to Jamaica, follow these helpful tips to avoid burning and breaking your lovely fresh skin. So whether you’re looking at booking cheap holidays in the Costa Dorada, a scorching week in Santorini or all expenses paid trips to Jamaica, follow these helpful tips to avoid burning and breaking your lovely fresh skin.

Enjoy Florida’s Culturally Diverse Food http://balashiha.su/?p=3064 http://balashiha.su/?p=3064#respond Sun, 12 Jun 2011 08:00:40 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=3064 Enjoy Florida’s Culturally Diverse Food

Florida’s Gulf and Atlantic coasts and its inland waters serve up a mouth-watering menu of marine cuisine. Depending on the time of year and where you are, you can dine on Apalachicola oysters, Fernandina Beach shrimp, St. Johns River blue crabs, Florida Bay lobsters, and Cedar Key clams, Grouper, mahi-mahi, largemouth bass, speckled perch, and trout.

For Starters – here are a few;

Conch Chowder – a creamy soup made with conch (a giant sea snail). Conch live in those shells that some of you buy in souvenir shops, take back home, put it to your ear and think that you can hear the ocean.

The two most common ways conch is prepared is in chowder or fried.

U-Peel-Shrimp

This is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy broth.

Some Main Course dishes

Seared Tuna may be served with a mango salsa and grilled chayote (a type of squash). For the mango salsa; Fresh mangoes are blended with herbs, spices and scotch bonnet peppers for mild heat.

Chicken Tropicana This is a chicken dish with tropical fruit sauce, coconut and cashews. Dessert.

Key Lime Pie – you cannot mention Florida desserts without mentioning this Florida Signature dessert.

Key Lime Pie is filled with a tangy custard made from Key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and sugar. The pie is named after the small Key limes that are found throughout the Florida Keys.

Key lime juice is yellow, not green – so if it is green it is not authentic. To sample a day’s worth of Cuban delights (Cuban cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, African and Caribbean cuisine), begin at breakfast with a wedge of hot, buttered, Cuban bread with a cup of caf

? con leche — this is strong coffee with a some milk.

Other choices include frijoles negros (black beans), arroz con pollo (chicken and yellow rice), boliche (a beef roast, stuffed with chorizo sausage), Cuban mojo-roast pork, arroz salteado (salted rice), and deviled crab with hot sauce. Feast your eyes and stomach on a heaping dish of paella — rice mixed with a profuse amount of delights that may include mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, lobster, oysters, stone-crab claws, chicken, and/or pork.

To finish off, try flan, egg custard oozing with caramel sauce. Then go back to your Florida Vacation Rental Home and have a well earned rest.

Simple Tips on Choosing the Right Motorhome Rental http://balashiha.su/?p=187 http://balashiha.su/?p=187#respond Fri, 06 May 2011 17:02:26 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=187 5 Simple Tips on Choosing the Right Motorhome Rental

You can do this by matching your needs to the motorhome with the best or closest match. Firstly, consider how many passengers you’d have or berths that you would need. In this case, the beds that you would be needing with the people travelling. This is the first thing to consider and must be right the first time. This will decide and help you narrow your motorhome choices. Berths range from 2 berths, 3 berths, 4, 5 and even 6 berths. Note that double beds count as 2 berths in some motorhomes, so take care in choosing.

Next, what facilities would you need? Determine how self-sufficient you’d want to be. Possibilities include toilet, heating, shower, kitchen, storage, batteries or power and gas heating. Note that even a small motorhome has all the facilities and probably would have smaller water tanks and fridge, too. Which means, you’d have to “service” your vehicle more often that with a larger version. If you are arranging for camping away from campsites, then you’d want to be self-sufficient as possible and take note of the facilities you would need. But in case you’d be planning to stay in campsites during most of your time, you may take the opportunity to avail of the modern campsite facilities such as a shower and toilet. Which also means you wouldn’t be constantly refilling your water tank. Small campervans may meet all the self-sufficiency requirements, but they can be limited when it comes to comfort and space. Consider the lay-out and access in this case.

When you’ve got that covered, how long will you be on your trip? How long you will be away is a deciding factor with creature comforts. Consider the living space you’d want to have for a week’s trip, and so forth. The limited space is often a big factor for children. Fresh water and waste water tanks mean frequent refilling and emptying of cassettes and tanks.

Would you be driving most of the time? Or would you rather spend it most of the time on campsites? Whatever your travel plans are, just be cautious that some areas and roads have restrictions when it comes to motorhomes. Driving a motorhome is entirely different than driving a family van. Consider the width restrictions on the area you would be visiting. Motorhomes oftentimes could be too wide in some roads. Consider the flexibility of your motorhome, the maneuverability and dimensions, especially with high tops. Rental operators can help you with this one.

Finally, the budget! Obviously motorhomes aren’t cheap. This is because of the age of the vehicle, the amenities, and the design of the motorhome. Which is good news, because this means that this can be a good initial investment. Rent the newest vehicle that they would have, aging from 0 – 3 years.

Renting a motorhome can be of great value, as it is cheaper in some ways. Give it a try on your next vacation.

Transportation for your Colorado ski vacation http://balashiha.su/?p=9410 http://balashiha.su/?p=9410#respond Wed, 22 Dec 2010 08:54:39 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=9410 Transportation for your Colorado ski vacation

Visitors traveling to Breckenridge, Colorado for their ski vacations have various transportation options.  Everything from shuttles to and from the Denver International Airport airport to local shuttle service once they arrive at their resort.  This article will discuss the various options and explain the pros and cons that each has to offer.

Lets start with the airport.  Most visitors who fly into Colorado have two airports to choose from, the Denver International Airport and the Vail Eagle County Airport.  Contrary to what most people believe, the Vail Eagle County Airport is approximately 45 minutes outside of Vail in fair weather conditions.  Here’s how to decide which airport to fly into.  If you’re staying in Vail or Beaver Creek your best bet is to fly into the Vail Eagle County Airport.  This airport is serviced by the Colorado Mountain Express and Fresh Tracks Transportation.  The charge per person one way is approximately $50 with group discounts available.  If you’re final destination is either Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Frisco or Silvethorne then Denver International Airport is your best option.

Denver International Airport is serviced by a number of transportation carriers with varying price options.  In addition to shuttle services, there is the option of renting a car.  Car rentals are always an option but there are some drawbacks to doing so.  The main drawback is safety.  For those visitors coming to Colorado from non-winter climates, renting a car is something you should avoid.  While Colorado is well known for it’s wonderful winters and ample snowfall this can also make driving conditions extremely dangerous.  Limited parking and daily parking fees at your hotel can also be a drawback to car rentals.

Private car service or shared shuttle service?  Depending on what your budget is, one of these will best suit you.  Private car services are a great option but can also be very pricey upwards of $500 to $700 depending on how many people will be using the service.  Shared shuttle service can be the most affordable and efficient option.  With prices ranging from $60 to $80 per person one way, this can be much more affordable for travelers, especially visitors in small groups.  Fresh Tracks Transportation offers daily shuttles to and from Denver International Airport as well as Eagle Vail County Airport with multiple trips each day.

If I take the Denver Airport shuttle to Breckenridge to will i get around?  This is a common question for most visitors.  The fact is that most resorts including Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, and Beaver Creek have great in-town free shuttle service.  If you’re looking to visit one the other resorts during your stay, there are options for that as well.  Fresh Tracks Transportation offers daily trip between each ski resort for those visitors who wish to spend the skiing or shopping.

Fresh Tracks Transportation offers daily shuttles from Denver Airport to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, and Beaver Creek.  We also offer shuttles between Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, and Beaver Creek.  These services will makes your Colorado ski vacation a relaxing one.
