Reasons You Should Consider Using a Travel Agent For Your Honeymoon Vacation http://balashiha.su/?p=267 http://balashiha.su/?p=267#respond Thu, 13 Oct 2011 18:55:23 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=267 8 Reasons You Should Consider Using a Travel Agent For Your Honeymoon Vacation

When you are planning your honeymoon vacation you can research and book your honeymoon vacation yourself or you could choose to work with a travel agent and let them do the work.  Before you make this decision, consider the following benefits of choosing a travel agent for your honeymoon vacation.

1.  Travel agents can tell you the best days to travel
Travel agents book tons of vacations each year and they know what the best days to travel are from the perspective of one’s budget as well as from the perspective of time.  If you are able to supply the travel agent with some flexibility in travel dates, they can find the least expensive and most hassle-free choices for your honeymoon vacation.

2.  Travel agents can save you money on your honeymoon vacation
When you chose a travel agent to book your honeymoon vacation you will get the benefit of discounts on flights and hotels because travel agencies can purchase tickets in bulk and pass that savings on to you.

3.  Travel agents can save you a ton of work when planning your honeymoon vacation
You will save hours of time because the travel agent will be the one to deal with the booking and preparations of your honeymoon vacation.  You just tell them where, when and why.

4.  Travel agents have the answers to any questions about documents you will need for your honeymoon vacation.
Your travel agent will know important deadlines and requirements for passports, etc.  They will help guide you through the process.

5.  Travel agents will most likely provide you with some insider perks for your honeymoon vacation
Because travel agents know the right questions to ask, they may be able to come up with deals that the “normal” person would never come across on their own.

6.  Travel agents know about your desired destination
Because travel agents typically travel a lot themselves, it is highly possible that they have been to most of the common honeymoon vacation destinations.  If they haven’t themselves, chances are that someone in their office has.  This will allow them to answer questions you might have  about best restaurants, public transit, etc. for your chosen honeymoon vacation destination.

7.   Travel agents will help you deal with any problems that arise if changes occur to your itinerary
If you must change your honeymoon vacation plans for any reason, you need only make one phone call.  You will call your travel agent and then they will have to make the dozens of phone calls needed to redo your  honeymoon vacation plans.

8.  A travel agent will give you one bill
When you choose to work with a travel agent, you will end up with one big bill to pay and not a bunch of purchases with multiple receipts, confirmations, etc.  Many travel agencies will offer you payment plans.  Choosing to work with a travel agent can not only less en the stress when it comes to the planning of your honeymoon vacation but can also save you money as well as time.

On Location May 08 – Myanmar http://balashiha.su/?p=6628 http://balashiha.su/?p=6628#respond Fri, 07 Oct 2011 16:25:07 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6628 On Location May 08 – Myanmar

Myanmar is stuck in a different era. Isolated from the outside world and with little infrastructure the country remains underdeveloped. This was my second visit and the purpose of the trip was to look at ‘all things new’…

Arriving late at night in Yangon I stayed briefly at the Savoy Hotel, a wonderful old colonial building with teak floors and Kipling memorabilia. The following morning I flew to Kyaingtong near the border with Thailand. This small town has a central lake and holds a buffalo market twice a week. It is the staging post for the 30km drive to the former colonial hill station of Loimwe. The road is now a track but during British times it had stone tram lines on which the cars ran. Anyone wanting a driving license and making it from Kyaingtong to Loimwe was granted one, an early test. Loimwe is in a shallow dip in the hills, pleasantly cool in summer. Surrounding the small hills are the colonial houses that the British stayed in. The hospital, the post office and a number of residences remain. There is also a Sikh temple here with a Sanskrit stone marker by the front door. Sadly it is in a terrible state.

In the far north of the country lies Putao. You are nearer to Bhutan here than you are to Mandalay; an isolated location and one that has only recently opened up to foreigners. The town is located in a long narrow valley surrounded on three sides by snow covered mountains and thick forest. On my first morning I met three lorry drivers who had just com from Mytchina, half way between Mandalay and Putao. They had just arrived with three six-wheel lorries and it had taken them 29 days to cover the 220 miles. Luckily I had flown in.

Putao is well worth the journey not least for the ten room Malika Lodge, which is fabulous. It is located at the base of the foothills on a bend of a river with impressive views of both the river and the mountains. Activities include gentle rafting, light or serious trekking (it is possible to trek for the day, stay away for several nights or do more serious treks of up to 2 weeks), biking or riding elephants.

Inle Lake was as magical as ever. Travelling by boat from the town of Nyang Shwe along a narrow waterway, the lake opens up to form a mirror in front of you. Crystal clear water with green weed a few inches from the surface is a haven for fish. The people rely on the lake. They create floating gardens held in place by bamboo poles on which they grow vegetables (beans, tomatoes, cucumbers), they fish using nets and large wicker baskets and live in floating villages, some which produce silk and cloth made from local lotus plants.

My final night in Yangon was spent at the Governor’s Residence, another fine old colonial building with a garden and veranda dining. A wonderful way to end a wonderful trip in an amazing country.

Magic Kingdom Travel Tips for Disney Vacations with Young Children http://balashiha.su/?p=6071 http://balashiha.su/?p=6071#respond Tue, 23 Aug 2011 00:15:20 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6071 Magic Kingdom Travel Tips for Disney Vacations with Young Children

What should you do with your children when visiting Disney’s Magic Kingdom?  How do maximize their fun?  Here are some tips for traveling with smaller children to Disney World.

Go Early

Most kids are up early, anyway, so get out of bed and get to the parks!  Most people will make their way to the Magic Kingdom at their own leisure.  Of course, there are the hard core travelers that will make it to the opening, but generally, this is a less crowded time to be at the Magic Kingdom.

The one exception to this rule is Extra Magic Hours.  If the Extra Magic Hours occur at Magic Kingdom in the morning, this will likely be the most crowded park of the day.

Go Directly To Fantasyland

Fantasyland will be the most popular area for young children, so get here first.  The majority of guests will go to Tomorrowland or Frontierland first, putting off Fantasyland for later.  Later will be packed!

Part of this strategy involves avoiding characters.  Characters will populate Main Street and the area in front of the castle as a distraction — don’t fall for it!  It’s very tempting, but you must have a plan and work your plan.  The characters will be available for pictures throughout the day.  Come back to them after visiting the most popular rides in Fantasyland.

Use FastPass

Use FastPass to it’s maximum efficiency.  To do this, when you get to Fantasyland (after going directly to it) get a FastPass for a ride in Fantasyland.  While waiting for your return time, ride one of the non-FastPass rides in Fantasyland.  Repeat.

Use the Train

The train that encircles the Magic Kingdom often has little or no wait and kids LOVE IT!  It also helps with reducing the amount you have to walk.  Stops in Toon Town, Main Street, and Frontier Land.  After Fantasyland, you will likely end up in Mickey’s Toontown Fair.  Play around here a bit and then catch a ride on the Walt Disney World railroad.

These are just a few tips for maximizing fun and time at the Magic Kingdom with your little ones.  If you just follow the tips from this post for the Magic Kingdom, you will likely ride all the rides your little ones want to ride and avoid lots of standing around in lines — one of the most difficult times at Magic Kingdom with small children.  You’ll have the magical Disney vacation people often dream of, but seldom get.

What Is A FastPass -By Best Hotel Deals http://balashiha.su/?p=10540 http://balashiha.su/?p=10540#respond Fri, 08 Jul 2011 23:42:48 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=10540 What Is A FastPass -By Best Hotel Deals

Disneyland is one of the most popular attractions that people from all over the world love going to. In fact, there are some that even travel halfway around the world just to get there. You can expect that not a day goes by that the park is empty.

Due to the number of people visiting the park, long lines are always expected. Disney’s management has devised a way to solve this problem.

The Resolution

Aurora Lillo Editor of the “Best Hotel Deals” website — http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz — pointed out;

“…To help reduce long lines for popular attractions, Disney launched an innovative system in 1999. This system is called the FastPass. From the first day it was used up until now, it has been very successful…”

This pass is available to everybody. You do not need to have a special ticket to get one. As long as you have a ticket to the park, then you are entitled to a FastPass. This pass is not to be bought. It is already included with your admission fee. If a stranger approaches you and tries to sell you a pass, decline it.

The Mechanics

If you see a FastPass Attraction, you will notice 2 clocks. One will inform you on how long the wait is for entrances. The other will tell you the time that you come back if you have a FastPass ticket already.

Basically, FastPass is a system that can reserve you a ride while you go do something else. In this way, you will not have to waste your magical park time waiting in long lines. Once you get a FastPass for a certain attraction, you can go to other attractions. You can shop. You can eat. Do whatever you want to do. You still get to see the attraction as long as you go back at the specified time.

How To Get A FastPass Ticket

At the entrance of an attraction, you can spot the FastPass machine for that attraction. Approach the FastPass machine and present your admission ticket. Insert the card to the card slot. Do not force the card inside. Your FastPass ticket will be out in no time!

What Is Written In Your FastPass?

On your FastPass ticket, you will see some encoded information. Take note of these important details. The ticket will indicate the time frame that you can go back to that attraction. That is the period of time that you can return for the ride/attraction.

Do not forget that there are some attractions that have a window of only 10-15 minutes, like the Little Mermaid Show and Honey I Shrunk the Audience. It is better for you to just wait or simply stay within the area, so that you will not be late when your window comes around.

What To Do When It’s Your Window Already

As soon as your FastPass window or time frame arrives, it is important that you go back to the attraction. Go to the FastPass holders line. Make sure that you have secured your ticket and have your FastPass ready. Show it to the Cast Member. While waiting in line, a Cast Member will actually get your FASTPASS ticket.

Important Things To Remember

There are some important things that you should remember when using FastPass. If you have a FastPass, this doesn’t entitle you to bring your crew with you. They will need to get a FastPass ticket too. Nevertheless, getting a FastPass ticket can be done by one person only, as long as they have the admission tickets for everyone in the group.

“…If you have a baby or a toddler that came into the park for free, there is no need to get them a FastPass. You cannot go FastPass Hopping to different attractions. All ticketing machines issuing the pass are linked together. A machine will not issue you another, if you have not used the previous pass that you just received for a different attraction…” added A. Lillo.

How to Live the High Life in Phuket http://balashiha.su/?p=4959 http://balashiha.su/?p=4959#respond Fri, 01 Jul 2011 05:33:38 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=4959 How to Live the High Life in Phuket

You might think that Phuket is all about beaches and beer bars. Although at first you may not see it, Phuket has a social scene filled with trendsetters and the island’s well-to-do sorts. If you want to live the high life in Phuket, you have to follow the socialite trail and wine and dine in all the right places. Soon enough, you’ll become a familiar face and will be able to meet the right people, darling.

First of all, you have to look the part. We’re not talking sandals and Beer Chang vests here. Phuket’s social butterflies are snappy dressers. If you want to fit in, ditch those tired clothes and head to Central Festival or Jungceylon to buy yourself some new threads.

When it comes to dining out, Phuket’s butterflies flutter to a variety of places. Baba Dining Lounge at Sri Panwa has been vogue for a while thanks to its secluded location, snazzy d?cor and a great menu. The owner is something of a familiar face around the island, so there are regular parties at Sri Panwa where people go to drink, dance and mingle.

Another popular haunt at the moment is White Box just before Kamala Hill. White Box is a jazzy restaurant that has great views out over Patong Bay. It’s a little out of the way for tourists, so it’s generally only frequented by Phuket’s socializing residents. White Box also hosts a number of parties with the music policy focused on hip hop or house.

Another hip restaurant is Ratri Jazztaurant in Kata. The steep climb up a hill is worthwhile because of the magical views you’re treated to from the restaurant. Great food and jazz music make for the perfect combination.

On the subject of parties, if you want to be seen in all the right places, you’re going to have to closely follow the party circuit. BYD Lofts is a chilled-out place at the Club Andaman Resort. It’s a great spot to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks while listening to the live music. A lot of people visit BYD before heading to Club Lime.

Club Lime is just about the hippest venue in Phuket. The music ranges from house and electro to techno and breaks. Don’t expect to hear any pop or cheesy dance tunes. At weekends, people dance the nights away at Club Lime until well into the morning. The drinks are expensive and there’s usually a cover charge. The venue looks fabulous, however, and it attracts a fashionable crowd from week to week.

If you want to win some kudos points with the “it” crowd, you’re going to need to find a way to get into the island’s biggest parties, which usually happen as part of Phuket Raceweek and the King’s Cup Regatta. The final party of the King’s Cup is always particularly memorable. Making friends in the right places will help you get invited to Phuket’s many parties throughout the year.

Walt Disney World Tips — Planning To Have The Most Fun On Your Disney Trip http://balashiha.su/?p=10409 http://balashiha.su/?p=10409#respond Sat, 25 Jun 2011 06:53:58 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=10409 Walt Disney World Tips — Planning To Have The Most Fun On Your Disney Trip

If you don’t look for some Walt Disney World tips before you plan your trip to Disney World, you’re going to miss out. It’s only when you map out your trip ahead of time that you’re able to do all of the things that you want to do, like meet all the characters and go on all the rides.

These Walt Disney World tips will help you to make the most of your time:

  1. Plan your days, but give yourself some wiggle room. The park features the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon, and Blizzard Beach and you probably want to spend a day at the ones that you want to visit. You should plan out which days you want to visit each park, but leave some time open so that you can re-visit your favorite ones.
  2. Plan your food before you go. Bringing your food into the park is a great way to save money, but you’ll need to think ahead in order to buy food at the grocery store and pack it with you. For those that are interested in the restaurants, you may need to make a reservation, especially if you are interested in the popular restaurants.
  3. Choose the right time to go. The right time depends largely on your goals for the trip. If you want to save money, for example, consider the off-season time frame. However, if you want to be there for the special Christmas show, you’ll need to plan the trip around Christmas time.
  4. Take a backpack into the park with you. Inside, be sure to pack all of the items that you may need throughout the day. This could include extra diapers and wipes, snacks, water bottles, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and medicine. These items will cost much more once you’re inside the park.
  5. Study the park maps to plan out your day. The Disney World parks are quite extensive and it can take some time to get from one end of the park to the other. To make the most of your time, you want to look at the map ahead of time and plan to do things that are close together at the same time.

Having a great Disney trip all starts with proper planning. If you want to be sure to have a great trip, you need to think about what you want to do and what types of things you’ll need to take with you.
