Arriving Tips And Travel Guide http://balashiha.su/?p=953 http://balashiha.su/?p=953#respond Wed, 31 Aug 2011 14:58:33 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=953 Arriving Tips And Travel Guide

A trip would of course rejuvenate you. But, being well prepared while on a vacation is the best way to thoroughly enjoy it. Imagine, you visit a place for the first time, but no clue of how to proceed further on arrival. No one would like to go through such an unpleasant experience. Here is a few city travel guides to avoid you being in a state of oblivious on arrival.
Reaching a tourist destination spot can be by airways, sea route, or via a train, but doing a little bit of research about the place would mean a lot. There is aplenty of online travel guides to provide travelers with required tourist information. If you have a rough sketch of the airport or railway station you arrive to, you will be able to fairly manage the commutation in the city. Like to make it even simper? Then go for airport limousine or book a hotel that offer pick up facility. Opting taxi for this purpose wouldn’t be a wise decision, especially when you are unfamiliar with the place.
Wherever you go, it is worth carrying a travel map. A destination guide book will also be a good companion. If you feel that assistance is must to go further, just check with any of the airline staff. In many airports, the concerned place’s tourism department have assistance booth to guide people on arrival.
Incidents, especially repulsive, are unexpected, and hence being attentive can avoid worsening a situation. So, during vacation, make sure that your belongings like cash, cards, and documents are secured and kept out of scandalous reach.
You cannot just be running around the airport to withdraw money. Before you head off for the trip, have some amount of money converted to the local currency. Keep a small amount of cash at easy-to-reach place, so that you do have to open your wallet every time you need to make a payment. This way, you can protect the large sum of earning from getting lost.
Follow these tips, and may this journey stay green in your mind!

Price Jacking Airlines tickets, yes it's legal http://balashiha.su/?p=7066 http://balashiha.su/?p=7066#respond Fri, 01 Jul 2011 18:01:26 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=7066 Price Jacking Airlines tickets, yes it's legal

Price Jacking is now the biggest way to buy your airline tickets at a fraction of the cost. This information was leadked out my airline staff trying to help their family and friends fly cheap, and I mean cheap. With airlines taking away buddy passes for staff, one staff memeber put 2 and 2 together to figure this out. It works!

Price jacking will only work if your flight is NOT sold out. This technique involves buying 2 tickets for the same flight and the sam destination. It is important to always read the back of your ticket, but til this day, I always price jack my airfare. I now Have never paid asking price for the airfare.

It will be a matter of time when airlines will change their policy regarding buying 2 tickets in the same name, but until now it’s OK. I traveled from Toronto to Chicago return for $141.00 return by price jacking my ticket. Anyone can do this, you just have to know when to book your ticket.

Remember, this won’t last as airlines are always trying to grab your money. With the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, you know the gas prices will go up. This will change the pricing structure of airlines and even their destinations. They will have to make up for this rise in cost and why should you have to pay for it. I know I won’t have to until the airlines catch on. Learn how to price jack the airlines today. Tell eveyone you know, share the wealth I say.

Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach — A Day in Ray Bay http://balashiha.su/?p=7319 http://balashiha.su/?p=7319#respond Tue, 21 Jun 2011 02:31:46 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=7319 Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach — A Day in Ray Bay

Grab your trunks, scoop up your family, and head to Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach for a chance to swim alongside some of nature’s most exotic undersea fauna!
Stingray aficionados and brave young marine explorers alike have discovered a sweet spot in their quest for an up close and personal experience at Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.  At Ripley’s Aquarium (yes, that’s the same Ripley’s that does Believe It Or Not), a beautiful stingray environment hosts southern rays, spotted eagle rays, and guitarfish in a child-friendly setup that lets all comers swim with the rays.
Stingrays, despite the dangerous sounding name, are generally docile and prefer to flee from a disturbance rather than attack it — making them excellent first companions for young swimmers.  Even better, because rays in the wild have a startling ability to hide themselves under sand and silt, environments like the one in Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach offer a rare opportunity to watch these unique creatures undulate through the waters.
The controlled environment also prevents swimmers from accidentally stepping on a stingray — the number one cause of stingray attacks.  While even the rays at Ripley’s have venomous stingers, the safety of the habitat combined with the socialization of the rays (they’re accustomed to human company) makes for a completely safe experience.  No swimmer has ever been stung in the Myrtle Beach aquarium’s Ray Bay.
Some rays have powerful jaws meant to crack open shellfish, and because stingrays have eyes on the topsides of their flat bodies, but mouths on the bottom, they don’t always know what they’re munching on.  The danger of being bitten is minimal as long as you obey the cardinal rule of ray-petting: keep your hands on the top side of the ray.  That way, the rays know what is touching them, and you keep your hand away from the dangerous parts.
Of course, all of these rules are covered and enforced by the Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach staff, who are intimately familiar with the animals and their tendencies.  With the well-trained and observant guides on duty, the humans are kept safe from the animals and vice versa.
Ray Bay is available as a walk-around exhibit for aquarium-goers, and the chance to pet a ray is granted to standard customers as well, but the true Ray Bay experience can only be obtained via a special pass.  Explorers who invest in a Ray Bay pass will get a behind-the-scenes tour of Ray Bay and the rest of the aquarium, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim with and feed the rays, plus some special souvenirs.  And stingray fans that have their dive certification can participate in a special dive into the ray’s special sanctum — the depths of the Myrtle Beach aquarium’s Ray Bay.
The next time you’re wondering what to do on a rainy day, or your junior aquanauts are seeking something exciting to occupy an afternoon, give them an experience that they’ll never forget: send them to the rays.  Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach will make them feel like the bravest explorers in the seas.

Travelers Irked by Luggage Fees, Rude Help http://balashiha.su/?p=9863 http://balashiha.su/?p=9863#respond Fri, 22 Apr 2011 03:21:01 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=9863 Travelers Irked by Luggage Fees, Rude Help

Those surveyed were asked to rank their complaints regarding airlines, hotels, and rental car companies.  Although baggage fees ranked highest as an irritant, other fees (note this was an issue for all three travel industries), and rude or unhelpful staff behavior were identified as major concerns as well.

Clearly the best way today to annoy airline passengers is to charge for luggage. There has been very little compassion for any airline that charges for baggage, even though there are many travelers who enjoy the fact their fare did not increase, due to the extra dollars collected by charging others for their extra weight and cost to the carriers.

Interestingly, poll respondents said that lack of information concerning airline delays was more frustrating than the actual delays.  Passengers were also aggravated by fellow airline passengers who take more than their perceived fair share of seat space and/or carry-on space.

Airline passengers indicated they understood the reason for waiting in long line at security check in points and the absence of snacks on flights.

There was a marked difference in annoyance levels between the sexes and generations of those who participated in the survey.  Women were more upset than men by pricey hotel room snacks, insufficient bedding, and aggressive rental car staff pushing upgrades.  Older passengers were less patient with poorly behaved children on airplanes.

Perhaps the cheapest, more important, takeaway of this survey for the travel industry is to train and convince their staffs to be helpful and polite. Given airlines creativity when it comes to charging new fees, maybe the day will come when they will charge passengers willing to pay for courteous customer representatives.

Elephant Experience http://balashiha.su/?p=3023 http://balashiha.su/?p=3023#respond Sat, 09 Apr 2011 11:52:17 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=3023 Elephant Experience

I am a bit crazy about elephants and this is something I have wanted to do for some time.
After lazing on the beach at Nakamanda in Krabi for four days to acclimatise, having come from the snow in Britain, and soaking up the charming Thai hospitality, we headed up to Chaing Mai.
The Thai Conservation Centre in Lampang, about an hour outside Chiang Mai, is set in parkland and jungle. It is bigger than I had expected and we were booked into participate in the 3 day VIP Mahout elephant training course. The VIP part just ensures you have your own elephant and Mahout for the entire time and there are only 4 participants in the group. From the moment you arrive, after donning your mahout suit, you are with the elephants.
My ele was called Tradang, he is 32 and has a hole in one ear. Charming! The first thing that struck me was his size – he stood about 9 or 10 feet high – it was a long way up there! It was a bit scary at first, although I soon got into the swing of it and began to learn about the special bond between a mahout and his/her elephant. The next challenge was getting off!
Three days of constant contact and interaction with extremely well loved, well trained and well cared for elephants followed.  (Incidentally, we there is also a wonderful elephant hospital that treats and looks after elephants sent from all over Thailand.) From 6.30 or 7am to 4 or 5pm each day we were with our elephants, feeding, bathing, training and even participating in the daily show. My elephant was particularly keen on bathing me as well as himself and I was always absolutely soaked after the bathing session.
We took our elephant to a different part of the forest each night. The accommodation in individual chalet style cabins is spacious, basic and clean and the food is home cooked to order by the very friendly staff.
Until you ride & spend time with an elephant you really can’t imagine how intelligent and how intuitive they are. The last day of the course it was my birthday and I was in heaven riding out to the water hole at sunrise on my elephant.

After a very long flight, we arrived safely home last week. It then took a few days to get settled and to adjust to being in a very different world once again.

The trip was absolutely wonderful and, despite the haze and the dust on the new roads-that-were-once-paths, I enjoyed every step.

So this note is to thank you & your company Nepal Vision (www.nepalvisiontreks.com Phone: 977-1-4424762, 977-1-4423297) most sincerely for all that you did to make the trip run as smoothly and efficiently as it did. We really enjoyed in trekking with yours friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the ease with which you and we sorted out the payments for the trip, enjoyed the tour of Bhaktapur, Patan.

I also want to thank you for the lovely cultural evening and delicious meal you took us to “just up the road”. It was a great way to round off the tour. I was also very pleased to have those delicious momos they.

Yes, Keshav, all in all it was a wonderful trip: very different to the Everest Trek, but equally fascinating and culturally far more diverse and thus offering a wider experience.

Thank you! Thank you for another fabulous time in your fabulous country. I really hope that politically the situation improves for you all in the near future and that some of the problems, such as irregular electricity and roads and the like, can also be sorted out fairly soon.

With kindest greetings!
