taxi – Balashiha http://balashiha.su Sat, 22 Sep 2012 20:00:30 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.1.18 Getting Around In Bangkok http://balashiha.su/?p=3923 http://balashiha.su/?p=3923#respond Tue, 26 Jul 2011 11:52:29 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=3923 Getting Around In Bangkok

If you come to visit Bangkok for the first time, one of the first things you will notice is the busy streets and the traffic. The city is very different from other cities in Europe. Don’t get your holiday ruined by hours of waiting in traffic! Reading this article will take approximately 5 minutes, and those five minutes can save you endless hours of waiting.

The busiest part of Bangkok is right in the middle. Around the edges of the city, the streets are a bit more calm. When travelling anywhere around Bangkok, you should always use as much public transport as possible. Trains are better than taxis because they don’t get stuck in traffic.

The best method of getting from A to B is by using the BTS Skytrain. As the name suggests, it’s higher up than the roads. The Skytrain is connected to most of the shopping centers, so it’s a perfect choice of transport for a shopping tour. Once you get there, you will have to buy a ticket; there are one way tickets available and also a day ticket, which you can use as much as you want in a day.

Another option is to get a ‘Smartpass’; this is a credit-card sized plastic card which you refill with money and then just swipe it on a sensor at the entrance gate. This is the best option if you decide to stay for quite a while. Another form of transport in the MRT, which is a subway line. This also connects to popular places like shopping malls.

The BTS station connects with the MRT at three different stations, so it is easy to just jump out of the BTS and head a few floors down, to the subway. The ticket system in the MRT is very similar to the one in the Skytrain. There are also tickets available which work for both the subway and the raised train. To get to places which are not connected to either of the train systems, you will need to take road transport.

Taxi is a good choice, but can be slow because of traffic. An alternative would be a motorbike taxi as they can squeeze through traffic easily. The downside of the motorbike taxi is that it can be quite dangerous on the busy roads of Bangkok, Thailand. And if the trip is not too short, walking is also an alternative. Have a safe trip and a great holiday!!

Personal Chauffeur Service Provides Professional Mom Convenient, Productive Travel for Weekend Trip http://balashiha.su/?p=6847 http://balashiha.su/?p=6847#respond Sat, 18 Jun 2011 15:12:30 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6847 Personal Chauffeur Service Provides Professional Mom Convenient, Productive Travel for Weekend Trip

Opting to drive long distance rather than flying.  Sounds a little crazy, doesn’t it? That’s what one Corporate America mom, Shannon Craig,  decided was a better decision for her trip to Lake Havasu, Arizona from Costa Mesa, California.  She chose Drive4Me Personal Chauffeur Service.
Shannon was headed to Lake Havasu for the weekend.  Before she could go, she needed to drop off her daughter to a family member 40 miles away from her home and also had a deadline to meet for a project she was working on.  Just looking at flights was already a nightmare: sky-high last-minute fares that did not match her schedule in the slightest, and to top it off no direct flights from surrounding airports (whether from Orange County, Los Angeles, or even San Diego).
But she found a simple solution to her troubles.  After a quick search on the internet, she was able to find Drive4Me Personal Chauffeur Service who would be able to drive her in the comfort of her own vehicle to her desired destination.  For a nominal rate of $30 per hour (beyond half the rate of a town car/sedan service), Shannon was able to make a last minute reservation the day before she needed to be in Arizona.   Drive4Me Personal Chauffeur is fully insured and certified, and all personal drivers undergo thorough background investigations, motor vehicle record audits and drug testing so Shannon was able to book with confidence.
Shannon’s personal driver arrived at her residence early, as all Drive4Me chauffeurs do, in case she was ready to begin her trip before the scheduled time.  From Costa Mesa, she was able to take her daughter to her relative’s home for the weekend in Riverside without having to take hold of the steering wheel at all.  To make things even more convenient, Riverside was just a quick pit stop on their way to Lake Havasu.
En route to her destination, Shannon worked diligently to meet her project deadline.  She was able to listen to her favorite music while the chauffeur took care of driving.  Her personal chauffeur was there to ensure that her trip was comfortable and stopped whenever she requested for coffee, restroom breaks, or just to stretch and to refresh herself.
The total drive time was approximately 6 hours long.  Compare that to airline fares she researched, which would have taken the same amount of time considering a layover in Phoenix, Arizona from Orange County Airport before landing in Lake Havasu.  And avoiding the airlines, she did not have to deal with airport parking or unprofessional taxi drivers and the possibility of a delayed flight.  Had she taken a flight, Shannon would have had to constantly start and stop her work during arrivals, departures, layovers, et al. She even saved some money by hiring a chauffeur service!
Once Shannon was dropped off in Lake Havasu, she required for her vehicle to be dropped off at point of origination (Costa Mesa, CA).  Her personal chauffeur took a short break before heading on the trip back.  The personal driver kept in contact with her at various points during his trip back.  When Shannon’s vehicle was returned to her residence, a final follow-up call was made to her so that she could enjoy the rest of her weekend without worry.
Convenience: not having to deal with and fret over the troubles of modern day flying; traveling in the comfort of your own vehicle; making sure your family is taken care of; being able to spend a time with your girlfriends; and most of all, for this professional mom, being able to enjoy a leisure weekend without stressing over a deadline because Drive4Me Chauffeur Service was able to provide you with the most productive driving time you’ve ever had.

Navigating Yourself Through Vancouver British Columbia http://balashiha.su/?p=6451 http://balashiha.su/?p=6451#respond Fri, 10 Jun 2011 00:15:30 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=6451 Navigating Yourself Through Vancouver British Columbia

Inner-City Transportation Options

Vancouver is one of the few remaining North American cities to place a higher level of importance on its’ communities over road infrastructure. Instead of a 6 lane highway cutting through the downtown core, SkyTrains and other public transit vehicles have been used to service the increasing transportation needs of the city’s residents. This translates into a direct benefit for travelers as they are presented with a number of transportation options. In Vancouver, guests are not relegated to a specific area/community; for example, tourists may stay in a vacation rental or hotel in the nearby city of Burnaby while still only being a 15 minute SkyTrain ride away from downtown.

Vancouver’s public transit system spans across the Greater Vancouver area through a combination of SkyTrains, shuttles, buses, and sea-buses. Tourists are able to go from The Vancouver International Airport to Grouse Mountain for the nominal price.

Although renting a car, taking a taxi, or riding public transit may be quick & easy; renting a bicycle can sometimes be the best way to see Vancouver’s beauty. Wrapped around the majority of the downtown coast is a bike path which showcases many of Vancouver’s diverse settings. Along the way, guests will be treated a host of popular attractions including: Stanley Park, Granville Island, and The Telus World of Science.

Airport Transportation Options

At the end of a good vacation, most people have to return to where they came from; and in most cases, that requires returning to YVR (Vancouver International Airport). Luckily this trip can be made quite easy as tourists are presented with several options in getting to the airport.

RAV Line – The Richmond Airport Vancouver Line, or simply RAV Line, was completed prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics and stretches from the center of downtown Vancouver all the way to YVR. Passengers will travel underground for the majority of the trip and cross over the Fraser River before arriving at the airport. The RAV Line is the typically the least expensive method of getting to the airport.

Another efficient way of getting to the airport is by use of the traditional taxi-cab. All taxis in Vancouver use standard metered rates, so there is no need to negotiate beforehand. For guests arriving in YVR, there is always a line-up of taxis right outside the airport doors.

For guests arriving in Vancouver but heading out to other local destinations, like Whistler Blackcomb for example, there are charter bus options available; however it is recommended that guests pre-book their seats, especially for charters that pickup at the airport.

Cheap International Travel Secrets http://balashiha.su/?p=2111 http://balashiha.su/?p=2111#respond Thu, 02 Jun 2011 13:24:23 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=2111 Cheap International Travel Secrets

What is the real secret to cheap international travel? It is the same as the secret to doing anything for less. Learn to be an opportunist. Opportunistic travelers get to travel more, see more and do more. Of course, you can ignore this advice if you have unlimited funds.

I went to Ecuador because it was cheap. Honestly, aren’t there many interesting places in this world? Why not choose one you can travel to inexpensively? The other places will be there in the future, and you may have an opportunity to go to those places cheaply at some point.

Cheap Countries

Ecuador is my favorite international destination. You can still get a decent meal for two dollars. U.S. dollars, by the way, since that’s conveniently the official currency of Ecuador now. From the beautiful snow-capped Andes Mountains, to the Galapagos Islands, you’ll never run out of places to explore in Ecuador. Travel there is safe and inexpensive.

South America in general is inexpensive, and the most affordable countries are, in my opinion, the most beautiful. These are the countries along the Andes mountains; Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Argentina, thanks to its recent economic troubles, is once again a cheap place for travelers as well.

In Central America, it costs very little to travel and vacation in both Nicaragua and Guatemala. Nicaragua, in particular, has become more stable and safe for travelers in recent years. Costa Rica is a wonderful too, and though it is one of more expensive counties of Central America, that probably still leaves it cheaper than Europe.

In Asia, India is still low-cost, especially if you stay in the numerous hostels and boarding houses. Thailand and Indonesia are also very cheap. With all international destinations, the plane tickets will be your single biggest travel expense. This is especially true with the Asian countries. Being there is cheap, but getting there may not be.

Cheap International Travel Tips

Wherever you go; there are things you can do to keep it cheap. Eat where locals eat, for example, instead of at the tourist restaurants. To keep it really cheap, eat fruit from street markets (wash it well) and packaged snacks from grocery stores.

Visit the free and cheap attractions first. It’s possible you’ll have so much fun that you’ll never get around to doing the expensive things. A higher price means better quality with travel bags, but not with travel experiences.

Busses are cheaper than taxis in any country, but be careful of crowded city busses, where pickpockets hang out. Walking is even cheaper, and it’s a great way to learn about a city. Just ask the locals where the dangerous parts are before you wander too far.

For cheap accommodations find out where local visitors from within the country stay. Negotiating room charges is common in some areas. In Banos, Ecuador, we negotiated our room rate down from $12 to $6 per night, by paying for several nights in advance. Consider hostels, if you don’t mind sharing a room. They’re much more common overseas.

Cheap international travel is often only as cheap as your plane tickets. Use the techniques outlined on our site to save big on tickets, or search the fares to several interesting countries. If one is $500 less than the others, consider going there. $500 can buy a few extra days, or an extra mini-vacation some other time.

Having Transportation in Norwalk and Downey http://balashiha.su/?p=4284 http://balashiha.su/?p=4284#respond Tue, 15 Feb 2011 07:02:29 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=4284 Having Transportation in Norwalk and Downey

When you take a vacation, normally the only thing that you want to spend your time doing is relaxing and avoiding any stressful thoughts and worries or about thinking about things back home.  With this, it is best when your trip goes off without any hitches and nothing happens along the way to cause you any stress or worry.

One way to make sure that your trip goes smoothly is to do your research and plan for things ahead of time such as the transportation if you are on a trip seeing friends or relatives in Norwalk and Downey that you are going to use while you are there.  While this might not seem like something you would spend time thinking about before a vacation, you would probably be surprised how many people get themselves into a bind with how they are going to get around during their vacation because they did not check out the ways of getting around before they left for their trip.  Therefore, no matter how much you may feel like you are over preparing for your vacation, it is usually better to get everything squared away before you leave so that all you have to do when your vacation does arrive is to relax and let your stress melt away.

One method of transportation in Norwalk and Downey that many vacationers choose to use is a taxi.  People choose to take taxis for various reasons but many times it is because of the convenience that they provide in getting to your destination.  You can also usually call ahead to schedule when you would like your taxi to pick you up from where you are.  Calling ahead can be beneficial for many reasons.  First of all, calling ahead can help keep you on schedule because you will have the time that you arranged to have the taxi pick you up in mind and will be more likely to be ready by that time.  Additionally, by calling ahead to arrange your pick up time, you will not have to worry about a shortage of taxis when you do want to leave and will not have to wait around hoping to hail down a taxi.

Although you might feel like you are over preparing just a bit if you think about how you will get around during your vacation before you take the trip, you should not look at it this way.  The more you are prepared for all of the factors of your vacation, the less you will have to think about when you are actually there and can just spend your time

In the corporate world, business travels are important when it comes to sealing the deal with your respective clients. Some companies also provide recreational trips and even seminars for their staffs and other employees. Recreational trips are proven effective to build the camaraderie among the workers and seminars are conducted for learning new techniques and gaining fresh and innovative marketing strategies. The only problem is that these travels often take out a large amount on the reserves of the company. Although there are few advertisements nowadays that are offering low budget flight packages, a lot of companies are still on the lookout as to how they can spend less and get more out of business trips.
The first factor to consider is that although there are a number of low cost flight packages available, the real problem is how you move your staffs from the office to the airport. More often than not, you spend a large amount of money on taxi fares, train tickets, van rentals, etc. Now, there is a far greater solution to your problem – a coach hire.
Corporate coach hire is very efficient in traveling large number of people because of the huge space that it provides. Corporate coaches also offer the passengers the feel of an office with desks and chairs on board. With this, they can comfortably review their reports while traveling. Furthermore, a coach hire is also perfect to use as a means of airport transportation. It can work for you here or in the country that you are going to. You can pre-book a coach on your destined country so you will not have to worry about finding your way around a foreign city. A Very Short Introduction to Tipping Etiquette in Turkey http://balashiha.su/?p=486 http://balashiha.su/?p=486#respond Wed, 07 Apr 2010 08:10:16 +0000 http://balashiha.su/?p=486 A Very Short Introduction to Tipping Etiquette in Turkey

Visiting Turkey on a holiday? Got that uneasy feeling when the bill arrives? What to do? How much to tip? Read on my friend!

Americans tend to give big tips to Turkish. That is why American tourists are expected to give out huge gratuities. Customarily, tips are very modest in the country. It is only a few percent of the price paid. Turkish tourism industry workers are used to getting big tips from Americans that they can’t help but wonder why there are others that give them less.

Generally, Turkish prefer that they be given Turkish liras. Nonetheless, you can still give them any currency as long as it is paper money. Never give them non0-Turkish coins because these cannot be exchanged for Turkish liras.

In the restaurant setting, small tips (equivalent to 5 to 10% of your total bill) are really not expected from you but are greatly appreciated. This is if you are in inexpensive establishments. However, if you are in a luxury restaurant, then it is the same in the United States. You tip 10 to 15% of the total bill.

For porters, they are already satisfied with 2 to 3 Turkish Liras for each bag that they carry. This is the same with the guides who give you personal tours of the city. As for taxi drivers, you do not have to give them tips. Just round the fare upwards. For example, your fare amounted to TL9.70. Then you can just hand him TL10. If the amount is TL10.30, your cab driver can accept just TL10.
