Pay a Visit to the Miami Seaquarium
Miami has so much for you to see and do it can be difficult to find a place to begin. But regardless of whether you are visiting with the family or just on your own, you should definitely make time to see the Miami Seaquarium.
This is a huge venue that takes up nearly forty acres of land and it is very easy to reach from downtown Miami. The best thing about it is that it provides an educational visit as well as one that everyone really enjoys. You’ll certainly leave knowing a lot more about marine mammals and fish than you did when you arrived.
There are various shows which form a part of the entertainment you can look forward to on the day. For example you can watch a killer whale take part in a special show that gives you an idea of the sheer size and skills it has. And of course no visit would be complete without seeing the dolphins showing off their incredible intelligence. You may not know that the dolphin pool was used in the filming of the famous television show, “Flipper”, as well.
Make sure you grab a map as you enter the Miami Seaquarium, as this will show you where all the exhibits and shows are. You can then plan a route round the venue that takes in all the show times as well as the rest of the exhibits.
There is a sea lion show there too, which always draws the crowds as it tends to be quite amusing to watch. Salty the sea lion definitely likes playing to a crowd, so make sure you go along to see the display.
The Seaquarium is really a half day out experience, and when you need to stop for a break you will find plenty of places to do just that. There are eating places and seating areas provided along the way, so you can enjoy seeing everything and taking time out for a bite to eat as well. The park is nicely spread out and no matter which route you take you will see everything you need to see without missing anything out.
As well as the more traditional sea lions and dolphins, you can also come up close to crocodiles and alligators while you are in the park. It’s all quite safe of course, but it will probably still send shivers up your spine!
If you want to stay in downtown Miami you will find lots of Miami hotels that you can book a room in. This is an ideal position from which to enjoy everything that Miami has to offer, including the Miami Seaquarium and all the creatures it holds within.
