Packing your suitcase before you travel can be a stressful time, not only are you filled with excitement and some last minute nerves but you’re stressed because you haven’t enough time to pack and you really don’t want to forget a thing! The best way to pack is to remain calm, cool and collected, to give yourself plenty of time to organize what’s being packed and to keep a check list so you can tick off what’s what. Make sure you don’t forget any of the following or your dream holiday could turn into a nightmare.
Sun tan lotion-Unless you want to be completely swindled in resort, don’t forget to take plenty of sun tan lotion! In England, you can buy just about any brand you want from a low-cost shop, however in resort, you’ll be lucky to find not only your usual brand but your preferred factor too. Over the years, I’ve heard many people say “oh well if I need a higher factor I’ll get one when I’m there”, but why?? Just get it before you travel and save yourself at least a fiver and the time and effort it’ll take to get one when you’re there.
Swimwear-In the event of just about everything falling out of your case, you should feel grateful that your favourite item of swimwear is still intact and still with you! No matter what, you’ll be able to enjoy each day of your trip, going down to the beach and relaxing by the pool, without the humiliation of taking a dip in your thin and flimsy underwear!
Toiletries-If you’re anything like me, there’s always something you forget to take away with you, whether it be toothpaste, shampoo or an o-so important piece of make-up! So you’ve forgotten a thing or two, you pop to the local shop (priced especially for you tourists!) and what a surprise, they don’t stock your favourite brand! Instead, you’re forced into buying an alternative because they’ve got you between a rock and a hard place and you have no other choice unless you can go without brushing your teeth or washing your hair for a week.
So whether you’re thinking of booking late deals to Greece where your toiletry bag may well come in handy, cheap holidays to Portugal where your swimwear is a necessity or a long-haul holiday to the sensational Maldives where your high-factor sun tan lotion is essential, unless you want to go home with that illustrious leather look, just like Valentino.
