Perpetually Enlarging Picture of Adventure Travel in India

One can choose the railways, the air route, waterways or a road travel in India, in order to reach southmost Kanyakumari from the chilling backdrops of Kashmir but, the little known thing is that anyone can spot an adventure amidst his/her travel throughout the whole country.

The above written fact explains that there are numerous places determined for adventure travel in the country known mostly for its heritage and culture.

Choose any point in the political map of India and you have the big probability of experiencing a thrilling experience nearby the same.

Taking a start from the northern part of this democratic nation, one can easily spot scope for adventure sports like skiing in frozen Dal Lake of Kashmir, para-gliding in Himachal’s Manali and river rafting in Ganges flowing through Rishikesh.

Going through some images as well as write-ups published over web one can generate some confusion related to unnecessary promotion of tourism in the country. But, as one reaches these destinations he can have a watch over naturally formed adventure sport spots in India.

However, it’s not easy to find every spot open 12 months a year as heavy snowfalls and higher level of water in river mostly plays a villian for one’s adventure dreams. But then, who said that the adventure graph declines as you reach south.

Near the green beauty of Kerala lies a bunch of 36 islands jointly termed as the Lakshadweep, which rarely leave anyone out of the adventurous mood, thanks to the water sports like scuba diving, glass bottom boat etc.

If one looks for raising the graph of adventure travel in a cooler place, then Bay of Bengal can very well be recommended with Andaman and Nicobar islands not far from there.

Taking the adventure to a higher level, one can experience rappeling, rock climbing as well as the breathtaking pleasure of valley crossing sport while he camp in Kantal where the several outings are arranged for corporate masses.

In case, somebody is recommending North-East for an adventurous trip, then he is not to be blamed as the sporty and deadly nature of caves situated near Cherrapunjee keep you on your toes until you come out of the lifetime experience of Caving in here.

As stated earlier, drive, sail or even fly through Indian continent, the thrill of adventure travel walks with the traveller from start to end.

Plan the Perfect Adventure Vacation on Tripmama.com, the First Air Fare Compare Website

There are so many adventurous places to go and see, however, you haven’t been to one place. You haven’t climbed one rock or experienced white water rafting down one river. And the reason for this is of course, money. You just don’t have the money to take off whenever you want, or you don’t have the money to save. Guess what? An adventure vacation is possible; you just need a few tips to help you out!

Decide early when you’d like to go and which action-packed quest appeals to you. Many guided tours, such as white water rafting, rock climbing or safaris give discounts for early booking. The tourism trade wants to guarantee their spots are filled. Companies discount early booking to measure what the interest of the public is at that particular time to price the majority of their openings.

If the idea of booking early is unappealing or if you are more of the spontaneous type, you will be able to find last minute deals. Search online and you’ll find tours at greatly reduced rates solely to fill their remaining vacancies.

Being a family has its rewards also. Many tours are geared for family adventures with the hopes of you and your family returning annually. Child-friendly tours are safe and fun experiences for everyone.

There are other budget friendly tips to take into consideration. Before booking your vacation, figure out the type of scenery that appeals to you, compare airfare and fly there with your equipment already in hand. It doesn’t cost much for a backpack, small tent, sleeping bag and non-perishable food. Pack the items you can carry in your backpack and trek through the landscape of your choice. There are reasonable tours for this type of activity, but if you surf the net instead, you’ll find maps for trails, spots that are safe, advice from fellow trekkers, all which save you money.

If you love peace and quiet and you love to fish, then a good idea would be to invest in fishing gear. Take an airplane to Canada or another destination of your choice, with your equipment in tow. Fishing licenses are inexpensive and your gear is yours to be used again and again. There are how-to websites, videos and books to instruct you on fly fishing or sitting beside the water and casting a reel.

Have fun and remember, because your vacation sounds expensive, doesn’t mean that it has to be!

Places of interest in Spain – Olot

This volcanic field surrounded by 38 volcanic mountains is located in the Catalonia province of Spain. The city has a rich cultural heritage dating to the renaissance era. It is said that in the year 1474 the city was completely destroyed due to volcanic eruptions. Thereafter these volcanoes have become dormant. However, the Government of Catalonia recognizing the importance of these volcanic mountains and its surrounding area as protected area has declared it as a national park.
This covers an area of about 119 sq. kms. Adjoining this area is the beach forest called the La Fageda d’en Jorda. In the 18th century, the city became a hub of textile and other industries. The Christian Art Workshop is the leading supplier of stationery for the churches. This volcanic city has many places of attraction.
Church Esglesia de Sant Esteve:
This church is believed to have been built in the 10th century. The church was renovated and the most beautiful altar piece was added. This is a very impressive work of architecture and an important place of worship for the locals and for every tourist visiting Olot.
Museu Comarcial de la Garrotxa museum:
This museum has collection of works of sculpture produced by the great artists Casas Clara and Blay. The museum is also famous for the beautiful landscape. Apart from this, the museum also has several painting works from some of the most renowned artists of Spain. This is yet another place which no tourist should miss.
Garrotaxa Volcanic Reserve:
This is considered to be the largest volcano covering an area of about 30000 acres. The immaculately beautiful beech wood presents a ‘carpet of leaves’ during the autumn season. The leaves on the trees present stunningly beautiful scenery. In fact this is one of the places which receive highest number of tourists every year. The reserve has all the avenues required for a tourist. This is yet another reason why this reserve has become so popular amongst tourists.
Neighboring places:
The 57 kms distance from Olot to Girona is full of many places of interest. These two places are connected by road and railway as well. There are many castles and churches along this route. These monuments are of historical importance also. The Hostoles castle, Garrotxa Volcanic are some of the places of interest which the tourist would come across on this route.
Board and lodge:
Olot has many apartments, villas and hotels which offer a luxurious stay at the most economical rate. There are enough restaurants which serve the most delicious recipes to the tourist.

Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach — A Day in Ray Bay

Grab your trunks, scoop up your family, and head to Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach for a chance to swim alongside some of nature’s most exotic undersea fauna!
Stingray aficionados and brave young marine explorers alike have discovered a sweet spot in their quest for an up close and personal experience at Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.  At Ripley’s Aquarium (yes, that’s the same Ripley’s that does Believe It Or Not), a beautiful stingray environment hosts southern rays, spotted eagle rays, and guitarfish in a child-friendly setup that lets all comers swim with the rays.
Stingrays, despite the dangerous sounding name, are generally docile and prefer to flee from a disturbance rather than attack it — making them excellent first companions for young swimmers.  Even better, because rays in the wild have a startling ability to hide themselves under sand and silt, environments like the one in Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach offer a rare opportunity to watch these unique creatures undulate through the waters.
The controlled environment also prevents swimmers from accidentally stepping on a stingray — the number one cause of stingray attacks.  While even the rays at Ripley’s have venomous stingers, the safety of the habitat combined with the socialization of the rays (they’re accustomed to human company) makes for a completely safe experience.  No swimmer has ever been stung in the Myrtle Beach aquarium’s Ray Bay.
Some rays have powerful jaws meant to crack open shellfish, and because stingrays have eyes on the topsides of their flat bodies, but mouths on the bottom, they don’t always know what they’re munching on.  The danger of being bitten is minimal as long as you obey the cardinal rule of ray-petting: keep your hands on the top side of the ray.  That way, the rays know what is touching them, and you keep your hand away from the dangerous parts.
Of course, all of these rules are covered and enforced by the Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach staff, who are intimately familiar with the animals and their tendencies.  With the well-trained and observant guides on duty, the humans are kept safe from the animals and vice versa.
Ray Bay is available as a walk-around exhibit for aquarium-goers, and the chance to pet a ray is granted to standard customers as well, but the true Ray Bay experience can only be obtained via a special pass.  Explorers who invest in a Ray Bay pass will get a behind-the-scenes tour of Ray Bay and the rest of the aquarium, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim with and feed the rays, plus some special souvenirs.  And stingray fans that have their dive certification can participate in a special dive into the ray’s special sanctum — the depths of the Myrtle Beach aquarium’s Ray Bay.
The next time you’re wondering what to do on a rainy day, or your junior aquanauts are seeking something exciting to occupy an afternoon, give them an experience that they’ll never forget: send them to the rays.  Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach will make them feel like the bravest explorers in the seas.
