Top Tips To Topping Up That Tan!

First of all, don’t even contemplate leaving this bleak weathered, grey skied country without giving that tan a head start!

Around two weeks before you travel, get yourself to the corner shop and book some sunbed sessions, not enough to give you that shiny, papery leather look but enough to create a base layer from which you can build up a fantastic glowing tan.

Nip to the shops and buy enough sun tan lotion to not only last you for your holiday duration, but a bit extra too! You’ll need a small bottle of factor 35, an average sized bottle of 15, a larger sized 8 and a nice low-factor dry oil, perhaps a 2, and if you’re going for that dark brown, coffee look, buy one with keratin!

Don’t forget when packing your case, to individually wrap each bottle of sun tan lotion in a plastic carrier bag to not only avoid spillage, but to protect your clothes and your skin in the long run!

When you finally arrive, you’ll love every minute of it, but where to sunbathe for that maximum tan?! My personal favourite is the beach, not just for the stunning scenery and cool, refreshing sea, but because of that beautiful, brisk breeze. Not only will that lovely breeze cool you down but it also gives a stunningly seamless tan.

One faux pas which many of us make is forgetting to apply aftersun lotion every evening throughout the holiday. Without this added moisture, your skin can become dry and cracked and helps the peeling process start a lot quicker!

Start with your factor 15 lotion and see how you go, if you have any sore or blistering areas, pop a bit of factor 30 on to ensure it doesn’t worsen. As your holiday progresses, reduce the strength of your sun tan lotion, go down to 8 and then eventually you may feel brave enough to go for that factor 4 keratin oil!

Another helpful tip is to make sure you keep applying that sun tan lotion on a regular basis, every half an hour or so, apply a little here and there to ensure a burnt-free complexion. Although you feel fine and like your skin is not burning at all, it can be smouldering without you realising until later that evening when unfortunately, it’s too late.

So whether you’re looking at booking cheap holidays in the Costa Dorada, a scorching week in Santorini or all expenses paid trips to Jamaica, follow these helpful tips to avoid burning and breaking your lovely fresh skin. Magic Kingdom Travel Tips for Disney Vacations with Young Children

What should you do with your children when visiting Disney’s Magic Kingdom?  How do maximize their fun?  Here are some tips for traveling with smaller children to Disney World.

Go Early

Most kids are up early, anyway, so get out of bed and get to the parks!  Most people will make their way to the Magic Kingdom at their own leisure.  Of course, there are the hard core travelers that will make it to the opening, but generally, this is a less crowded time to be at the Magic Kingdom.

The one exception to this rule is Extra Magic Hours.  If the Extra Magic Hours occur at Magic Kingdom in the morning, this will likely be the most crowded park of the day.

Go Directly To Fantasyland

Fantasyland will be the most popular area for young children, so get here first.  The majority of guests will go to Tomorrowland or Frontierland first, putting off Fantasyland for later.  Later will be packed!

Part of this strategy involves avoiding characters.  Characters will populate Main Street and the area in front of the castle as a distraction — don’t fall for it!  It’s very tempting, but you must have a plan and work your plan.  The characters will be available for pictures throughout the day.  Come back to them after visiting the most popular rides in Fantasyland.

Use FastPass

Use FastPass to it’s maximum efficiency.  To do this, when you get to Fantasyland (after going directly to it) get a FastPass for a ride in Fantasyland.  While waiting for your return time, ride one of the non-FastPass rides in Fantasyland.  Repeat.

Use the Train

The train that encircles the Magic Kingdom often has little or no wait and kids LOVE IT!  It also helps with reducing the amount you have to walk.  Stops in Toon Town, Main Street, and Frontier Land.  After Fantasyland, you will likely end up in Mickey’s Toontown Fair.  Play around here a bit and then catch a ride on the Walt Disney World railroad.

These are just a few tips for maximizing fun and time at the Magic Kingdom with your little ones.  If you just follow the tips from this post for the Magic Kingdom, you will likely ride all the rides your little ones want to ride and avoid lots of standing around in lines — one of the most difficult times at Magic Kingdom with small children.  You’ll have the magical Disney vacation people often dream of, but seldom get.

Stag Trip in Kiev

Stag Trip in Kiev

Organising a surprising and unforgettable stag trip is pretty a challenge in today’s fast running time. Even there are a lot of stag weekend destinations all across Eastern Europe, nobody will judge a Saturday night at a dance club full of other drunken lads as a perfect stag party climax. On the other hand travelling to a place in middle of nowhere without a proven track of record of amazing nightlife could be another unwanted experience.

A capital city with 3 million people, sharp concentration of great looking babes, good selection of fun activities, high quality restaurants and bars as well as night venues of top class are excellent prerequisites of ideal stag trip preparation. Kiev, the host of 2012 European football championship, is still a stag trip destination that was not captured by crowds of Western travellers and keeps nearly a virginal illusion of untouched party venue.

The first stags organised in Kiev during 2006 and 2007 by local tour company have been a huge success. Anya Kirilenko, the young booking manager of KievStag.com says that of the more then 20 stag tours all have been amazed by the gorgeous girls in Kiev and they praised the preparation and perfect organisation of their Kiev stag trips. She added that the most popular activities during the day were the Kalashnikov AK 47 shooting, followed by Dynamo Kiev football games and go-carting. The night was dominated by stag classics like pub crawls, striptease clubs visits and night clubbing.

“We have some original surprises,” Anya continues with smile “like stag kidnapping. Every group that booked this shock action for their stag had lot of fun. Some of victim-stags stated that they will remember their kidnapping better then their wedding. Because of the stag mafia-style kidnapping is so popular we added the Unexpected Wedding event which we predict to be a great success as well.”

The first stag trip company in Ukraine, KievStag.com, provides fully organised stag weekends in Kiev starting from airport welcome, transfers (if needed in limousine and with strippers), accommodation (from hostels to luxury hotels) and broad choice of activities. Experienced female guides are taking care of the groups and provide valuable advices on where to find the best night clubs and where to party with local girls. Service of Kiev Stag.com embraces 24 hours on-call local support, Survive-Card with most important phone numbers and addresses as well as discounts in reputable restaurants and bars.

To book a stag trip (or even a hen trip) to Kiev check the website Kiev Stag Trips that includes the full offer of hotels and activities that can be arranged in Kiev for your stag do.

Thousands Visit Third Largest Unsupported Dome In Europe

In Malta you’ll find a different church for every day of the year.  These range from windswept cliff-top chapels to lofty city-centre cathedrals, and from gothic fortress-churches with an adjoining graveyard, to ultra-modern structures that wouldn’t be out of place in the Starship Enterprise.  In Malta you’ll also find an underwater chapel although admittedly it started out as one of the aforementioned cliff-top chapels that got a little too windswept.

In short, the Maltese like their churches and one of the examples that gives them the most pride is the magnificent Mosta Dome.  This architectural masterpiece is distinguished by the grandeur of its 67 metre high cupola and neo-classic fa?ade embellished by iconic columns, closely based on Rome’s Pantheon.
The Mosta Dome is the third largest unsupported dome in Europe.  Also known as the Rotunda of Santa Marija Assunta, it is dedicated to the Assumption.  It was built between 1830’s and 1860’s around Mosta’s previous parish church.  When the Mosta Dome was completed, the old church, which was now inside the new church, was demolished.  This ingenious method was established so that the pious villagers would never be bereft of a church to attend.  The diameter of the dome measures 37 metres across and the structure was designed by the Maltese architect Giorgio Grongnet.
The church escaped destruction in the Second World War when an afternoon air-raid on the 9th of April 1942 saw a 200kg bomb piercing the dome and landing squarely in the middle of the church where 300 people were gathered in prayer.  The bomb failed to explode and everyone escaped harm.  A replica of the bomb is now on display in the church.
The church also has the largest mechanical organ ever installed in Malta.  It was built in Italy by the famous organ builder Pacifico Inzoli.  It was installed in 1885 and contains around 2000 pipes.

It is no wonder that each year, this magnificent masterpiece is visited by thousands of tourists, who are awed by the beauty of the paintings, altar, marble floors and the structure in itself.

So if you happen to be in Malta, you must visit this architectural masterpiece, which has stood proud for nearly 200 years.
